Jan McGinnis, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

Jan has an extensive history in working with people in a variety of settings, including para-church organizations and public service agencies.  In these realms, Jan has honed her skills of identifying needs and utilizing clear, concise communication and/or art forms to facilitate insight and change.  Her utilization of these skills with a broad variety of people, and in many different cultures, adds a breadth of knowledge and understanding to her insights. Jan brings this rich knowledge base to her counseling office, where she values her clients, speaks clearly about areas that need change, and offers hope and relationship. Jan works with clients to help them recognize their own voices, their capacity for change and ways to take active steps towards both.   With a Masters of Arts in Counseling from Geneva College, Jan is a National Certified Counselor, and has shared her leadership and insight as a member of Chi Sigma Iota National Honor Society.  Strong in both education and counseling skills, she sees a focus on the fullness of health - emotional, physical, and spiritual - as an important part of the counseling process, helping clients to identify strengths, confront unhelpful habits, and achieve new growth.
