Nicolette Louzar, LCSW
After obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida, Nicolette attended the University of Pittsburgh and received a Master of Social Work, with an emphasis in direct practice and certification in child welfare. Throughout her eight years of experience, Nicolette has provided care to youth and their families, ranging from early childhood to late adolescents in various settings, such as school, home, and community.
Much of Nicolette's training, background, and experience include cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma-focused CBT, principles of parent-child interactional therapy, family systems theory, structural family therapy, and trauma-informed care. Nicolette specializes in youth struggling with anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorders, ADHD, and depression. Nicolette has also focused on autism spectrum disorders, behavior modification techniques, and family conflict resolution.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Nicolette's strength-based and client-centered approach is effective in helping clients realize they can overcome their issues with the support of a loving and trustworthy clinician.
