Brett is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor. He works with a vast variety of peoples who are looking to heal and/or improve their lives. Brett works to find a tailored approach to help every person achieve what they are looking for in the therapeutic experience. Brett is versed in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Person-centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-focused Therapy and Existential-Phenomenological approaches. This is with a goal of genuinely, and corroboratively, fostering therapeutic collaboration that balances support and positive change.
 
Brett graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with his Bachelors of Science in Psychology. From there, he went on to work in a variety of settings from inpatient to outpatient work, and many places in-between. All the while, he attended Duquesne University, attaining his Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Afterwards, he worked as a pre-licensed counselor of individuals and in group therapy. This combination of formal education and life experience has offered a rich environment for growth, therapeutically and clinically.
 
Brett is looking to help you become your best self. He will work with individuals, groups, families and couples dealing with a wide array of issues-from mild to severe. In doing so, he will provide a balance of empathy, active listening, validation, genuineness, and maybe even humor, with an evidence-based and tailored conceptualization and plan for treatment. Brett looks forward to hearing your story and helping you take full authorship in writing the next chapter!
