Dr. Kevin Caridad, PhD, LCSW is Cognitive Behavior Institute’s CEO. I began Cognitive Behavior Institute due to a lack of highly-trained cognitive behavior therapists delivering evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). My focus on positive, strength-based counseling and therapy comes from training in positive psychology to include both personal values that therapy and life is most satisfying when we concentrate on what feels right. I wanted to help more people with this effective and scientifically-based approach by teaching them how to use it in their daily lives. CBT employs a positive, active, educational approach that focuses on giving the individual control. Focus is on teaching you how to change and on seeking solutions rather than just simply talking about your past, or “exploring” your feelings and problems. Clinical studies have proven CBT can effectively treat many clinical issues. My focused goal is to help you address your problems quickly and effectively by using established treatment methods to ensure you receive the best care possible, which equals the best outcome possible. It’s your life. You need to take charge to make changes. I can help you take charge. No question is too big or small. You deserve relief! Let’s start the conversation. My vision is to provide clients with the tools to make significant changes in their lives by giving them control over their behavioral therapy. I am Cognitive Behavior Therapy certified by the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. I provide evidence based psychotherapy for individuals of all ages, couples, and families. My goal is to help individuals, couples and families to effectively address and resolve their problems. I utilize established treatment methods to ensure my clients receive the best care possible, which equals the best outcome possible. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile as well as considering me a potential provider.
