Christina Van Patter is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 15 years of experience in the field. Throughout her professional journey, Christina has offered a range of services in both clinical and social service settings. In her virtual space, she creates a warm and welcoming environment to help patients learn to better manage life's challenges.

Christina is committed to supporting new moms, immigrants, and individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, and trauma. Beyond that, she values supporting short-term patients who are navigating a rough patch in life.

She maintains a specialty in maternal mental health. She walks alongside new moms during the transition to motherhood, supports experienced moms expanding their families, and guides long-time moms as they rediscover a rich balanced life.

Having worked extensively in interfaith settings, Christina brings a wealth of insight into helping patients navigate their strengths, difficulties, and hurts tied to religious and spiritual experiences. Upon request and careful assessment of suitability, she can incorporate Christian-based therapy into sessions, applying basic Christian theology to established therapeutic techniques.

Christina works to build therapeutic relationships that foster growth, resilience, and self-compassion. Her preferred treatment methods begin with Cognitive Behavior Therapy, using psychoeducation to help patients build immediately usable skills. Beyond CBT, she employs Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and operates from a trauma-informed framework of care.
