Alexander is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Approved Clinical Supervisor who joined the Cognitive Behavior Institute team in January of 2018. Certified by the Gottman Institute, he specializes in working with couples dealing with infidelity, communication issues, addiction, challenges with physical and emotional intimacy, resentment, and conflict. He also works with individuals dealing with a range of personal challenges including major life transitions, anxiety, grief, depression, difficult relationships, spiritual troubles, and trauma. Conferred an MA degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University, Alexander has trained with some of the world’s leading mindfulness and meditation teachers. He integrates the contemplative qualities brought about through mindfulness into his counseling practice to assist his clients in expanding their capacity to handle difficult emotions, find meaning, and create the life that they want to live.  Alexander also provides training, supervision, and consultation to other psychotherapists.
