Eleni O'Brien is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. She completed her undergraduate work at Duquesne University and the University of Pittsburgh before attending Waynesburg University for her graduate and post-graduate studies. She has clinical experience working with individuals across the lifespan including intensive in-home and community therapy, school-based therapy, outpatient behavioral health therapy, integrated primary care setting providing counseling and assessment, insurance based behavioral health services, private practice, and telehealth-based therapy.

Eleni specializes in treating OCD and anxiety disorders and aims to help clients in accepting, tolerating and navigating their emotions through implementing evidence-based approaches in a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment. Therapy with Eleni will be a welcoming space to confront fears and build emotional resilience. Eleni utilizes Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) as the gold standard for treatment of OCD and related disorders. Eleni has extensive training and experience providing ERP virtually. In addition to ERP, Eleni implements CBT, ACT, and client-centered, individualized approaches to treatment. Eleni has experience providing evidence-based practices treating specific phobias, panic disorder, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, school anxiety and avoidance, and body focused repetitive behaviors. She has a post-master’s certification in addiction counseling and a clinical interest in the intersection of OCD and substance use. Eleni is LGBTQIA+ affirming and values cultural humility as a vital step in developing therapeutic relationships.
