Rachel received her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. While in her master’s program, she specialized in multicultural mental health and domestic violence advocacy. During her time as a clinician, she has developed experience working with anxiety, trauma, child and adolescent behavior, and addictions. Rachel blends Gestalt Therapy, CBT, and Feminist Theory in her counseling approach. She strives to create an atmosphere of authenticity during counseling sessions, where she helps clients to find stability, support, and direction in addressing their goals. Moreover, she aims to assist clients in affecting change not only in themselves, but in their environment. By utilizing honesty, humor, and integration of the client’s strengths, Rachel tailors a treatment plan to fit the needs of each of her clients.
Whether you are interested in addressing recent issues, or challenges you have been facing for a long time, it is Rachel’s goal, should you choose her as your therapist, to empower you to take ownership of your future, instead of allowing your burdens to overwhelm you.
